It was hard for us to believe how bad Phillip's Harborplace has become. And to think, the four of us were once members of their frequent diner club about six years ago. I mean we went ever other week sometimes weekly. Back then the food was pretty good, the stuffed shrimp were really jumbo and actually stuffed with crabmeat. The crab imperial was my personal favorite anywhere. The only reason we honestly stopped going down there to eat, was because of the panhandlers we had to confront while walking from one of the nearest parking lots. Boy have things changed. About a month or so back, the four of us went there for dinner and let me tell you it was horrible. The tasteless tiny shrimp were stuffed with what looked like coarse saw dust overly seasoned with oldbay. The so called crab imperial was nothing like it used to be,looked and tasted like Mrs. Paul's frozen entree at best. It sure would be nice if this Maryland Icon could evole back to serving real seafood, the kind of seafood it biult it's reputation on. Needless to say, we won't be back.
